Shamama is the old Kannauj art of distilling dozens of herbs and spices into a single, unhurried accord — and Waalid is the house's tribute to it.
The opening is smoke and saffron, almost medicinal for a moment. Then the agarwood arrives: resinous, a little animalic, unmistakably real. Two hours in it has softened into amber and dry sandalwood that stays close to the skin until you wash it off.
